WELCOME!! :)

Hello,

My name is Pilar and I am a teacher of English as a Foreign Language.

I decided to create this blog because the time for my class is not enough at school. Here you will find some stuff to practice what you learned, reinforce the content studied at school, have fun, sing along, watch a video, play games...

I hope this blog is appealing for those who visit it. And remember that suggestions are always welcome -thank you!

Have a nice day :-)

Father's Day

Hi!

Congratulations to all Joses, Pepes, MªJoses and all fathers.

These are the bookmarks that 5B made for their dads -cute, aren't they? :)

St. Patrick's Day

Last Thursday, as every 17th of Marh, St. Patrick's Day was celebrated. We learnt the story of St. Patrick's, we studied some vocabulary related to the day (shamrock, Dublin, Blarney Stone, leprechaun, rainbow...).

Now I would like you to watch this funny video about St. Patrick's life:

And you can play some games if you click on these links:

Now, I leave you with a very famous and typical song: The Wild Rover, with the words so that you can sing it ;) The Wild Rover song, by The Dubliners

Carnival Time! :D

Hi!

Last Friday  4th of March, Carnival was celebrated at school! :)

It was a fun day as everyone could went to the party in costume, haha! There were fancy dresses as a robot, police officers, a nurse, clowns, a sheriff, a cowboy, an Egyptian woman, a waitress, Indian girls, a devil, a pirate, a chicken, a bee, a hippie... All the costumes were good! I was dressed up as a witch, haha! But I didn't have a broom for bad boys and girls, so I was a good witch ;)

We went to the playground for an hour to see the kids from Infantil singing and dancing! And there was a parade, haha!

You can see some photos below :p

Andalusian Day

Hello everyone!

On the 28th of February we celebrated Andalusian Day. As it was a bank holiday, it was celebrated the week before at school.

On Monday 21th we went to the Salobreja sports centre. The kids were playing typical Andalusian games and we were given a picnic composed of a roll, some olive oil, sugar and juice or milkshake. It was fun: there were inflatable castles, we ran relay races, sack races... :D Some kids were even interviewed to be on the news (on TV)! In the end, there was a prize for some MP3s, books, and even a digital camera! But they were not lucky :(

On Friday 25th they made a project with the Andalusian flag and some presentations about each Andalusian province. All the projects were very well done and interesting! :)

Here you are some photos of the activities that were carried out. Hope you like them!
